Decriminalizing Drugs and Legalizing Psychedelics in 2020

First we saw 5 states pass cannabis laws this election cycle. D.C. passed a measure that would decriminalize magic mushrooms and other psychedelic plants. Thus making psychedelics the lowest priority for their police officers. Oregon also passed a measure legalizing mushrooms. They also took it a step further, decriminalizing drugs. In cases with possession charges, you would no longer be looking at time behind bars. Instead you would be offered a choice between a 100$ fine or a free recovery facility. Cannabis tax revenue that goes over 11.5 million dollars would be used to fund these free rehabs. This could truly change the drug epidemic that we are currently facing.
