When people think of states who could legalize cannabis soon, Idaho rarely makes that list. One of only a handful of states without a policy allowing cannabis use, recreationally or medically. Neighboring states, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Nevada all have both medical and recreational legalized, while Utah allows medical cannabis. For years people have packed up their cars and headed to legal states to stock up. While Idaho isn’t moving any closer to legal recreational dispensaries, they are considering allowing households to have up to 3 ounces in their property. Meaning you can drive to Washington, buy some cannabis, drive back to Idaho, and legally have that stash at home. No word on actual legalization.
