A recent study done by University of British Columbia professor, Dr. Russ Callaghan, looked at Alberta and Ontario to see if cannabis legalization in Canada produced an increase in youth impaired driving. Legalization has always carried a stigma that it will directly negatively impact the youth of the area legalizing. Dr. Callaghan was surprised to see no data that supported that misconception.
