If you’ve ever tried to use a credit card in a cannabis dispensary, I’m sure you’ve been told that shops are unable to take that payment method due to cannabis still being federally illegal. Seeing the news about how the IRS wants us all to start paying taxes electronically is, well, kind of funny. No shops have any choice, if banks wont accept them, cash it is. Until cannabis is federally legal, our hands are all tied. Here’s to hoping the IRS joins in on fighting for federal legalization. Most of us would love to use banks and not be in a grey industry.
