Ryans Law is officially signed into law in California by Governor Gavin Newson. Senate Bill 311 will allow terminally ill patients to use medicinal cannabis within a healthcare facility. This bill will prohibit smoking and vaping, as well as cannabis use in emergency rooms. Legislation was inspired by a fathers experience in the final days of his sons fight with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Denied cannabis at the hospital, they were able to find a facility that would allow medical cannabis. Ryans quality of life greatly improved with the cannabis, in those final days.
