Virginia has joined the ranks of the cannabis movement by becoming the 16th state in America to legalize recreational cannabis. The house voted 55 to 42, while the senate voted 23 to 15. The commercial recreational market is set to open January 1st in 2024. This will be considered the first southern state that has legalized cannabis.
